Profile: PADMA MEDITATION (PM) offers personalized and group guidance in high quality, secular meditation skills that are designed to be directly applicable to specific athletes and clients. This unique service is solidly based in time-tested traditions of meditation that are proven to be effective for maximizing focus and efficiency. Studies have shown that techniques such as those employed by PADMA MEDITATION enhance high-level performance, sharpen technical awareness and develop inner power. Meditation stabilizes an athlete's nerves and mind to increase his or her ability to achieve gold-medal performances.
Techniques include breath work, concentration exercises using sound and visualizations, plus connecting directly with one’s interior silence and power.
We offer this to individual and team athletes as well as corporate executives and groups. Various product packages are available, including educational DVDs.
Padma, the founder and CEO, holds a B.Sc. in Science from McGill University, and has studied for ten years in India practising and researching meditation. Padma hosts a national, daily television series, has hosted a CBC radio show, and has been featured in several national magazines and other media. PM currently has clients across Canada, particularly in Vancouver, including CBC Radio, Intrawest, Public Health Canada, UBC, Ballet BC, Hollywood celebrities and major law firms.

Strategic Business Goals: PADMA MEDITATION will be the premier and most reputable national organization offering applicable, secular meditation skills for Canadians.
Our goals include creating meditation programs for universities, specifically in the faculties of Education, Medicine, Law, Athletics, and Family Sciences. We will offer the first secular Meditation Teacher Training Certification in Canada to increase the number of reliable teachers available. This program will be online and in workshop settings to reach the widest possible client base. PM is developing media products to assist students, such as DVDs, CDs, manuals, books and e-books.
Strategic partners include retailers to sell the media products, educational institutions to host the training programs and school systems to offer classes. We plan to collaborate with other health experts to offer holistic wellness programs to clients. PM is developing a line of meditation products such as clothing and accessories, working in collaboration with local manufacturers. We will continue retail relationships with Whole Foods, Banyen Books, Halfmoon Yoga, Lululemon, and YYoga, and build new relationships with retailers. Investors will include a book publisher, private investors, and Vicmar Productions as the business grows.
