Summary:

Not quite as high profile as the athletes, Live Sites or host broadcasters, but no less critical to the success of the Games, is the behind-the-scenes technology that makes everything possible. While they’re happy to be in the background, the tech experts for 2010 have a long local shopping list of the people, products and paraphernalia needed to keep the Games going come February 2010.

Working behind the scenes, these technology sponsors will be arriving as early as 2008 to build systems and build testing facilities. This means they will look to local businesses for staffing and equipment. Their presence and participation will drive the local economy as they look to use local advertising, local marketing and local staff to support their operations.
